Home Performance with ENERGY STAR®
ENERGY STAR® offers programs for both existing and new homes. For existing homes, one can find tips on common household problems as well as tips to incorporate energy efficiency into a home remodeling project.
Home Performance with ENERGY STAR® is another program for existing homes that focuses on a whole-house approach to improve the comfort and energy efficiency of your home. In Missouri one can find ENERGY STAR® Partners promoting Home Performance with ENERGY STAR in the Kansas City, St. Louis and Columbia areas.

ENERGY STAR® New Homes
For ENERGY STAR Certified New Homes, ENERGY STAR® offers the “New Homes Performance Specification Guidelines” and the “Qualified Homes National Builder Option Package.” Both of these guidelines offer a prescriptive path that makes energy efficiency in new homes easier to attain.
ENERGY STAR® Products
There are over 50 ENERGY STAR® qualified product types available for both the home and business. These products are the same or better than standard products and they use less energy, save money, and help protect the environment. ENERGY STAR® qualified products must meet strict energy efficiency criteria set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency or the U.S. Department of Energy.
